from msnbc:

And I was so worried…McCain said yes, in fact, he will be able to make it to tonight’s debate.  It seems he believes the financial crisis is over (wasn’t that why he wasn’t going to attend in the first place?).  Glad to know that the man who could be President is so in touch.  more

A man in South Charleston, West Virginia was arrested on charges of battery against a police officer.  Why?  Because he farted and waved it in the officer’s direction.  Note to self:  eat no spicy foods when traveling through West Virginia (and more importantly, don’t stop in West Virginia – just travel through).  The charges have since been dropped.  there’s more

No, that’s not some strange half-cat/half-woman breed, that’s Joan Rivers.  She’s in the news recently because she said this about the censorship of her Emmy fashion shake down on AOL.com:  “AOL is like Holocaust deniers,” Rivers told Page Six. “They want us to believe 6 million Jews spent World War II in Boca and Anne Frank was in an attic for two years looking for Christmas ornaments.”  seriously

Omaha, Nebraska has a recently new law that says you can leave a child at a hospital without repercussions – kind of like a no questions asked return policy.  It was intended for newborns and for infants…however a man recently dropped off all 9 of his kids (some teenagers) and high-tailed it outta there.  He says he ‘fell apart’.  I say stop having fucking kids if you can’t take care of them.  more

I’ve already given my (raving) review of “Equus” – but it officially opened on Broadway this week (we saw it in previews).  Really, go see it.  full story
