obsessedSo the show “Intervention” has been around for a few seasons.  We just got into it – it’s so hard to watch, but it’s so hard not to watch.  Tragic, touching, sad, hopeful…makes me think of people in my family.  But the round-about way we got to “Intervention” was by catching the series premiere of “Obsessed” – similar format, but people on this show have severe OCD and are seeking help.  It’s fascinating – mostly because I’m amazed at the therapists and the therapy and the fact that there are ways to battle OCD (aside from trying to deal with it or using drugs, like I assume a lot of people must).  I have my moments where I think I’m slightly OCD (6 gulps of water if I wake up in the night; chewing equally on both sides of my mouth; you know, normal stuff), but these are severe cases and make you understand how debilitating OCD really can be.
