I just booked our trip to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico – courtesy of the lovely people at “Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?”. We’ll be heading down south in November. I figured with the cost of gas and travel the airfare would just keep going up, so I found a great deal online this morning and booked it.
Remember what I said earlier about how when I want something I usually just buy it? At least this time I called Keith to tell him I was spending a thousand dollars. Whew! But the rest of the trip (food, LIQUOR, entertainment, taxes, tips) won’t cost us a single little penny! Woo Hoo!!

So I just learned from my friend Crystal that the episode of “Who’s Wedding Is It Anyway?” starring Chris & Keith and their wedding is reruning on April 17, at 11am on the Style Network. A couple of people have asked about it, so there ya go! Hope someone’s able to catch it!!!

Lana had the great idea for us to wear something tomorrow during the Gay Pride March that throws back to the fact that we were just on TV. So we’re making T-shirts with the above logo. So watch for us!!

This was my start to our Bachelor Party night.Marie, Joe, Katie & Vivian all came out to Balthazar’s for raw bar and champagne!
It was a lovely $700 couple of hours!!!!
Here I am slamming down a huge prawn.
And once the raw bar food was all gone, we wanted something salty.Unfortunately they weren’t serving dinner yet.
So we had to force ourselves to sit there for another hour or so, sipping champagne, until they started serving. And we got two yummy orders of fries and called it a night!
Of course the night wasn’t over after Balthazar’s.
I met Keith & his friends at a Hookah bar where I tried my first Hookah and added a martini on top of the champagne.
Then I met Kate & Deb at a Mexican restaurant and threw back some fish tacos and a couple of margaritas.
Then we all converged at a bar and I managed to choke back another 2 or 3 vodka redbulls. Ahh…good times.

So Keith and I are writing a letter to the E! Network.They’re the party responsible for offering to send us to Jamaica as a ‘thank you’ for doing the TV show. Yesterday, someone came up to Keith & I on the street and congratulated us on our wedding (holy crap – we’ve been recognized!!!). So we went home and googled our wedding again to see if anything else came up. Amazingly enough, Keith found this lovely photo. Talk about furthering our frustration towards this gift.
So frankly, I don’t expect to be offered a different gift. That’s no longer the issue. What I really want is to make sure the Style Network & E! Entertainment don’t offer the same gift to future gay couples they work with. Had we not done our research, we could have blindly accepted this gift, gone down to Jamaica and never returned (see above photo!!!!!). We want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone in the future simply because the person doling out gifts hasn’t done any research.
That being said – did you get what I said earlier???
Keith & I were recognized on the street!

So Keith and I rushed home and wrangled a couple of party-goers to help us celebrate the TV show. We were holding our breath until 9:59pm, not sure if the show was actually going to air or not. When the promo came on and showed me dancing down the aisle with Grandma & Melissa, we all cheered!!! It was a great show – I thought they put it together really well. I don’t think either of us could have been more pleased!! Here are some pics of those that were able to celebrate with us:
Here’s Amber…she was in the show! She came to the tux fitting!
David & Joe thankfully live close, so they were able to celebrate as well. (Vegetarian lasagna was for David!!)
Marie & Marijke traveled the farthest – all the way from Cape Town, South Africa! Okay, not JUST for the TV show premiere, of course! But they did come up from Brooklyn, and had to take the slow local-A train all the way home again. OH – and the dessert wine you brought is fantastic!!Here we go! June 13, 2007
